Some people are slaves to their fate.  To tadhana in Filipino.  We rely on our luck or swerte.  Sometimes I hear people say, “I want to win the lottery so I can buy a house.”  Yes you can.  But if you rely on this strategy then you have a better chance getting hit by lightning, twice, than be able to buy your dream house.  No kidding…

Don’t get me wrong, I still believe in fate.  But I believe that we have a hand at shaping it.  At the end of the day, what our deeds and thoughts become our things and situations.  I believe that our future is a mixture of the predestined and our own choices.
