Got Something to Say?!

Published by midnightanxiety under Travelog

We went for some semi-last-minute shopping for pasalubong.  Well, I’m not really big on pasalubong… I usually shop for myself on these trips.  But we’ll see… :-D

It was a bit warmer tonight, or less-cool, definitely warm is not an operative word here. :-)

The highlight of the night?…  It’s the guys trying out the new clothes… The clothes they bought for their girls hahaha

Omigod, what a laugh trip!!! :-D

Anticipating the Shift

Published by midnightanxiety under Spirituality, Travelog

In two days I will finally leave this City, and with it the pace and routines that I’ve been accustomed to these past few weeks…

The layered clothes…

The view outside my window…

The good times with the team working together in one room…

The sightseeing and endless walking…

The almost daily trip to Hemköp, the grocery store around the corner…

The unpredictable skies…

Yesterday, someone viewed my site and sent me a private message saying “You are indeed blessed.”  I truly cannot agree more. :-)

Now more than anything else, I am anticipating the change of pace… and the new challenges and happiness that life can bring.  The weaving of beautiful and worthwhile memories…

Last Sunday

I walked a bit around the City today.  With everyone out there in Copenhagen for the weekend, except for Lance and me, I thought it would be best to take in time to see more of Gothenburg in the silence of my own thoughts. :-)

I love this City. I love my line of work.

I love the idea of getting hurled to a new place from time to time, drink in the sights and the culture for a little while, but still be there for my family most of the time.

It is one of the things that I thank the Universe for as I jump out of bed every morning.

I also thank the Universe that I’m doing what I want to do, and that I am where I want to be, in more aspects than geographically speaking. :-)

I walked and walked, and found myself at Domkyrkan along Kungsgatan, my favorite shopping street here.  I told the Universe one more thing…

… thank you for the abundance.  Now let the spending begin… :-D

Have a great Sunday everyone!!!

How we got from this

is just well-meaning fun gone a little bit awry.  But I assure you, they’re both sober.   We’re still all sober, and that’s snow.  Real snow!  :-D

Have a great, fun and crazy Friday everyone!!!

Go Indians!!!

Published by midnightanxiety under Travelog, Work

I went to my first hockey game today!!!  We were lucky enough to get free tickets for the Frolunda Indians game this evening since The Firm was a sponsor.  So after work, the team and our Danish mentor Morten hurried to the Scandinavium, the primary indoor sports and event arena in Gothenburg, Sweden.

You can view the gallery through this link.

I really enjoyed watching.  The crowd was very enthusiastic and they cheered to their hearts’ desires.  But the team lost.  Whatever, we had loads of fun. :-)

Let It Snow

Published by midnightanxiety under Travelog

This surprised me as I looked outside my window yesterday.  I was as delighted as a kid on Christmas morning. :-)

But by afternoon it had all been melted by the unusually warm weather.  This morning the roads were quite slippery since the snow last night melted into frost. I almost slipped a couple of times. :-D

Walking Around

Published by midnightanxiety under Travelog

Yesterday, with almost everyone gone to Stockholm for the weekend, I decided to walk around Gothenburg.  As soon as the sun broke out of that cloudy sky and the day began to clear, I thanked God because the weather agreed with me. :-)

The day was just right.  The air was crisp.  I didn’t even have to wear my gloves most of the time.  I went to one of the malls there - Arkada - near the Central Station.  I decided that after I checked out the shops for my ‘Gothenburg bag’, I’d sit at one of the coffeshops and try some pastry and drinks.

I got myself something yummy (Update: a Semlor, it’s apparently big in Sweden.  It’s sold from Christmas to February) and freshly squeezed orange juice.

You can view the photos through this link.

Yesterday was sunny, very enjoyable.  Today I looked on my window and saw snow.  More on that later. :-)

First Friday

Published by midnightanxiety under Travelog

We spent our first Friday night here going around the city.  There really are a lot of beautiful places, even just a stone’s throw away from the office.

You can view the gallery through this link.

I’m missing Manila, so it’s a good thing there’s quite a bit of things to do and see here. :-)

Laughing in the Face of Hate Comments

I logged into my blog’s admin account yesterday and it announced that there were two comments up for moderation.  As I clicked on the link to the moderation page, I caught myself raising a hand to cover part of the screen.  I thought, “Oh God, this has become a habit of mine.”  During the last 7 months, I have been getting hate comments on this page.  At first, I had no choice but to read them before deciding to trash them.  After getting a few of those, I formed the habit of covering some parts of the message, such that I could just read very little parts of it, just enough to determine whether it’s the bad kind.

Today… it was not the case, as it has been for quite some time now.  I’ve been enjoying peace.  I can now break the habit.

I’ve been silent about this here online, but I run to my close friends each and every time it happens.  Their consolations are enough to enrich me with peace of mind.  So, I figured that I have the luxury of silence.  To turn the other cheek, so to speak.

I love my friends.  They’re open to letting me do my thing without prejudice, but are ready to step in there with their two-cents worth whenever appropriate.

Good friends don’t judge, they’re just ready to break your fall.

The Meg Post

Published by midnightanxiety under Friends

It’s our favorite Lawson Celebrity’s birthday today.  I’m saying this because in the first photo she’s so chica that it looked like I was taking a photo with a celebrity.  You know how it is — “Can I take your pic?  I’m a big fan!!!” hehehe :-D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEG!!!

Here Comes the Sun

Published by midnightanxiety under Travelog

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun and I say… it’s alright… hehehe

We were pleasantly surprised when the sky finally cleared over what looked to be gloomy Gothenburg.  Eyelavet.

This is a beautiful day. :-)

Chain of Memories

It’s always great to start the year weaving beautiful memories.  Great but life is almost random.  Almost.  Because by the law of attraction you can always trust that only beautiful things, that will turn into beautiful memories, will come.  The Universe always delivers.

I hope your year is starting out as great as mine. :-)
