Did you know that 2 asteroids passed by earth yesterday? It passed by within the moon’s distance.

Freaky, right? Apparently it’s a normal occurence. But what would we do when something big finally hits the earth, like, Deep Impact-esque big? Well, to my relief I read about the Deep Impact NASA project that was successfully done 5 years ago - http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2005/28jun_deepimpact/

… And the first experiment to the planetary protection was a success. That will make me sleep better at night

My Astrology reading for the month on AstrologyZone says this
At work, Saturn will be in hard angle to Pluto as the month begins, so you may find that someone you report to or who is a client is being very forceful and difficult. This person is not about to give an inch, as evidenced by Saturn’s glare at Pluto in the first days of February, so you’ll have to negotiate as best you can.
I am not sure you can get your way, but if you feel things are outrageously unfair, you need to speak up. Saturn rules your house of career and the authorities you report to, so it seems a new or existing VIP is more likely the one being difficult. You may have noticed pressure from this person in January, or you may find you will notice this attitude more in February. Saturn and Pluto are slow moving, so you can feel this all month.
Aries is not a sign that takes kindly to this kind of forceful treatment, and you might decide to quietly generate other options so you can just leave. See how you feel. You are still under the influence of the important career eclipses of January 15, which was to help you scale new heights, even if you still don’t believe that is possible just yet - you will in time! Look and you’ll uncover a better, more prestigious position soon. You don’t want to stay if you are unhappy.
The difficult person part there holds true (read: making me work into the wee hours of the morning for 3 weeks is no joke, for an underestimated task at that. Ugh. Hurl-able, I know…), so, I’m kind of listening to this advice. Continue Reading »

My daily astrology reading says it again:
Solar Eclipses seem to affect the Sun-Signs for around 6 months, and this one has a very interesting effect on your solar chart. This is one of two in your career sector, Aries, and is aligned with Venus, which can sweep you into the circle of the favored few, and even allow you to move up in rank or responsibility. These two Eclipses (the other being in June) could trigger a promotion or a big boost in income. Mercury’s change of direction could prevent a clash with your partner over work issues: it may have started already.

This month my horoscope in astrologyzone.com reads
Because the Sun is being “eclipsed out,” a male boss may leave, but this may work to your favor in some way, either by moving up in your company, or by following this person to his new job. It’s also alternatively possible that as a result of this person leaving, your current job won’t give you the spark it once did so you will be motivated to find out is “out there” for you, and stumble into your amazing new opportunity. Mercury has been retrograde since December 26, but will fortunately turn direct on January 16 - give an extra few days beyond this date to begin to announce big initiations or decisions.

Late last week I finally received my elite travel club card, but was thinking that I actually did not have an immediate need for it.

According to the astrology reading for my sign, Venus is in Top form on but Mars is in retrograde.
What this means is that your appeal will be very high, but your judgment may be off.
The retrograde (Mercury Retrograde) is dead-on - remember my electricity bill?!?
Goodluck to me. My planets are like gremlins this month lol

I took this test today. It described what tarot card represented me the most.

I am The Magician
Skill, wisdom, adaptation. Craft, cunning, depending on dignity.
Eloquent and charismatic both verbally and in writing, you are clever, witty, inventive and persuasive.
The Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud. Reflecting this is the fact that the Magician is represented by Mercury. He represents the gift of tongues, a smooth talker, a salesman. Also clever with the slight of hand and a medicine man - either a real doctor or someone trying to sell you snake oil.

I was feeling so low yesterday, that I decided to wear things that would help me through the day. Especially for one of them, these things are not just perk me up things. These are actually significant things for me.
My mantra ring, to help me be cautious with friends (that’s according to my chinese zodiac for the upcoming year of the Rat, and I totally agree)

A pi yao to protect my luck, and the 5 element tower to complete the aid for my “be careful with choosing friends” caveat for the year.

And of course, my dad’s ring on the other ring-finger… to remind me of my strength, and that my parents are still watching over me.

Anything I can do to lift my spirit, I will.
